What Constitutes A PowerHouse Project?

A PowerHouse project is an offering of a group of materials out of houses that, for one reason or another, could not be run as a full-scale auction.

The majority of our PowerHouse projects are comprised from one room remodels like a kitchen or bathroom.

High-end Remodeling Projects

A typical scenario for a PowerHouse project is when a house changes ownership and the new owners' tastes do not match that of the previous owners. There's nothing wrong with it-- it's just not their cup of tea. For example, they love the house, but they hate the kitchen. They're swapping out the kitchen for their style so you can get an entire kitchen-- and I do mean entire-- cabinets, countertops, sink, all appliances and the like for one low price. The same holds true of the bathroom remodels or whatever else we deem you'll dig. Our preference is to sell the entire room together to the highest bidder but if we have to break it up in order to move it, we will.

Keeping it on the Down Low

Some of our high-end clients don't want the "hoopla" of an auction but would still like to see the materials reused and kept out of the landfill. The items offered out of these projects are often of the highest caliber. We need to weed out the "lurkers" and bring in only a handful of pre-qualified buyers to which to disperse the goods. In situations such as these we require you to e-mail us in advance with your interests and bid range in order to be invited to participate.

Limited Goods

Many houses we see don't have enough of what our buyers are looking for in order to justify a full scale auction. However, there may be a few jewels there that are just too good to pass up. We'll take the best aspects of the project and package it up for you nice and neat-like.

Most PowerHouse Projects Involve Your Active Participation

If you have interest in any project you need to email us at PowerHouse@murco.net with your contact information and your approximate bid range for the items you seek. Many times we don't reveal the location of the project to anyone other than those who have been pre-qualified to attend.
